New 2024 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain

Isuzu Malaysia recently introduced the updated third-generation 2024 Isuzu D-Max with refreshed looks at upgraded tech features. Prices of The New Isuzu D-Max range start from RM98,949.20 for the 1.9-litre Single Cab while the flagship X-Terrain is priced at RM157,938.40 on the road without insurance in Peninsular Malaysia – with six more variants in between them to choose from.

The new 2024 Isuzu D-Max represents much more than a seasonal cosmetic update. Numerous changes particularly to the front and rear design elements, wheels and interior have been given attention to provide the vehicle with fresh appeal.

The entire front end receives a new treatment including a new headlight cluster, bumpers, grille and bonnet. Much of these focus on giving the new 2024 Isuzu D-Max a more stylish appearance while improving on aerodynamics.

Stylish new alloy rims, a revised tailgate – lockable on the X-Terrain – and attractive combination tail lamp design combine to add to its dynamic new looks.

Inside the new 2024 Isuzu D-Max receives a host of updates. Specifically, the flagship D-Max X-Terrain comes with new features such as a 10” infotainment system, new leather seats, classic Japanese origami Miura design elements and mood-enriching ambient lighting to name a few.

The flagship D-Max X-Terrain has already proven to be one of the safest trucks on the market with its complete suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features coupled with an ASEAN NCAP 5-star safety-rated base.

The X-Terrain’s safety system is enhanced with a new stereo camera that boasts a wider 120-degree view. This allows the system to detect and recognize a greater number of objects including child pedestrians and provide quicker and more accurate reactions. At the same time, the X-Terrain’s forward detection distance has also improved from 120m to 150m.

In addition, the new 2024 D-Max X-Terrain is fitted with the Rear Cross Traffic Brake. The system lets out audio and visual signals to warn of oncoming vehicles. Should a collision seem imminent, the system automatically applies the brakes.

Adding on to the D-Max’s 240mm ground clearance and 800mm wading ability, the D-Max comes standard with a rear differential lock. Driveability has also improved through the new Rough Terrain Mode feature available in all 4×4 Double Cab models. With the mode activated, be it in 2H, 4H or 4L, traction is enhanced with the vehicle managing power distribution seamlessly. This feature allows those less familiar with off-road driving to venture onto rugged terrain with greater confidence.

The new 2024 Isuzu D-Max is offered with one of two powertrains – a 150PS/350Nm 1.9-litre turbodiesel and a 190PS/450Nm 3.0-litre turbodiesel. Both powertrains are paired with a six-speed automatic with sequential shift.

The new 2024 Isuzu D-Max has been refined to offer better vehicle control over rough terrain without sacrificing all the safety requirements needed to navigate the urban jungle.
