The fourth-generation Toyota Vios will launch soon and UMW Toyota Motor has started taking orders. The all-new car features a new design outside and inside, new tech and improved performance – improvements all around from the looks of it.
The all-new Toyota Vios adapts a new design language layered on top of a fastback silhouette. The long-nose, rear-biased cabin and lowered body give a B-segment sedan a sporty stance.
Powering the Vios is the familiar 1.5-litre DOHC Dual VVT-I engine mated to a new 7-speed CVT with Sequential Shiftmatic. The pairing is said to offer quicker acceleration and enhanced fuel efficiency.
Inside, the Vios offers better and softer-touch materials in the cabin. High-grade displays, paddle shifters and electronic parking brake help elevate the status of the B-segment sedan. The Vios also comes with Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), which alerts the driver of danger and autonomously steps in to prevent or avoid a collision.
The Toyota Vios comes in two variants only – 1.5 G (AT) advanced and 1.5 E (AT) value deal. The sedan comes in five colours with Spicy Scarlett being a new choice.
So, if you want to skip the queue, you can head to your nearest Toyota dealership to reserve your spot. Prices shouldn’t stray far from the current model, hopefully. Regardless, the Toyota Vios comes with a 5-year warranty and unlimited mileage. The 24SEVEN Road Assist and a 3-year free subscription to the Toyota Vehicle Telematics System, which monitors the car’s location at all times.
