Kia Malaysia has released the Kia Carnival 11-seater CKD variant. Previously, Dinamikjaya Motors, the sole distributor of the South Korean carmaker, offered the Carnival in 7-seater and 8-seater guises. The new Carnival is locally assembled in the Inokom Assembly Plant in Kulim, Kedah, and is priced at RM213,888.00.
The 11-seater MPV comes in four colours that include Astra Blue, Snow White Pearl, Meteor Gray and Jet Black. The colours highlight the MPV’s overall design that conveys solidity. Pairing the exterior colours, the Kia Carnival 11-seater’s interior now comes in Black and Grey leatherette interior finishing.
The specification of the Kia Carnival 11-seater CKD remains unchanged, which includes front styling and LED daytime running lights (DRLs), Smart Power Sliding doors and Smart Power Liftgate, and Smart key with one-button open/close functionality for rear sliding door and liftgate.
Other standard features include a 12.3-inch High-resolution LCD Touchscreen Infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, multi-Bluetooth connectivity and seven USB ports.
The 11-seater Kia Carnival comes with a host of standard safety and advanced safety features. Seven SRS Airbags (Front & Passenger, Driver Knee, Side and Curtain), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Multi-Collision Brake Control (MCB), ISOFIX Child Restraint Anchor Points and Top Tethers as well as Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) are all included. The Carnival also comes equipped with Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and Rear Cross-Traffic Avoidance Assist (RCCA).
A 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine motivates the Kia Carnival, producing 199hp and 440Nm from just 1,750rpm to 2,750rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission controlled by an electronic shifter (E-Shift).
The Kia Carnival 11-seater CKD comes with a 5-Years Manufacturer Warranty with a coverage period of up to five years and a mileage limit of 100,000km, whichever comes first.
