With all the buss surrounding electric cars these days, you can’t help but be curious about how it drives. Although maintaining one seems easier than the standard internal-combustion engine, buying an EV remains out of reach for many. In comes GoCar with the new GoEV that is tailored to let you try an EV without the prohibitive cost.
The GoEV programme is available to all drivers 18 years old and above. Signing up for a GoCar membership unlocks GoEV Share and GoEV Subs plans. Prices start from RM24.90 per hour or RM249 per day for the Share. From now until 31 January 2022, all GoEV Share bookings enjoys a 25 per cent discount with the ‘TRYGOEV’ promo code.
If you’re enamoured with the whole EV driving experience, then you can go for the GoEV Subs 36-month subscription plan at RM2,299 per month. The rates are inclusive of road tax, insurance, regular servicing and a wall-box home charger.
You don’t need to worry about the range, every GoEV car comes with a complimentary ChargEV card. This card allows access to all 300 charging stations nationwide. Having that said, don’t forget that GoEV is only available in Klang Valley, in its pilot programme stage. And there are only 25 Nissan Leafs available.
Currently, there are three EV sharing zones established — GoCar Malaysia Petaling Jaya hub, MyTown Cheras and Avenue K in KL. GoCar will add another seven, bringing up the total to 10 GoEV zones by the end of the year.
