GWM, or Great Wall Motor Malaysia, has finally unveiled the GWM ORA 07 EV sedan in Malaysia. The price and exact specifications are unavailable at the time of writing and should only be revealed during the official launch, which should happen in Q1 2024.
The GWM ORA 07 is a streamlined EV fastback that features design elements that blend classical stylings with modern strokes. The closed grille and oval-shaped headlights bring nostalgia, while hidden door handles, frameless doors and an adaptive electric spoiler add modernity to the EV sedan. Measuring 4871mm in length, 1862mm in width, and 1500mm in height, the vehicle presents an imposing stance.
Inside, the supercar-like cockpit is adorned with premium leather, a T-shaped hollow centre console with rotating panels, and ergonomic seats with massage features (driver and front passenger), setting a new benchmark for sophistication. The sporty tri-dashboard complements the multi-functional steering wheel, offering drivers unrivalled control.
The GWM ORA 07’s luxurious interior is completed by a 1.7m-squared dome-style panoramic sunroof and a smart air conditioning system that delivers a three-dimensional flow. The minimalistic design of the interior space creates a refined, luxurious, and sporty atmosphere that is nothing short of exquisite.
Available in sophisticated grey, purple, and white, the GWM ORA 07 invites drivers to express their individuality. It comes in both Long-Range and Performance variants, highlighting its superior performance and versatility.
The GWM ORA 07 is powered by a state-of-the-art 83.499kwh ternary lithium battery: The Long-Range variant boasts a range of 640km, delivering 150kW (204PS) of power, and 340Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Performance model offers more power with 300kW (408PS) and 680Nm of torque, with a range of up to 550km.
The GWM ORA 07 has undergone rigorous testing, including China’s first intense EV Rollover Challenge and the Intersection Collision Challenge, ensuring its robustness against real-life scenarios such as vehicle rollovers and collisions in heavy rain. With advanced sensors, surround cameras, and a cage-style high-strength body, the GWM ORA 07 sets the standard in safety, offering top-notch security to ensure every journey is as safe as it is enjoyable.
The GWM ORA 07 kicks start GWM’s ambitious 2024 lineup, heralding the subsequent releases of the GWM Haval H6 HEV in Q2 of 2024 and the GWM Tank 300 in Q3 of 2024.
