However, Honda Malaysia managed to overcome and achieved our sales target in 2023 with strong support from our dealers and the Malaysian Government. Additionally, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all Honda customers who have played a crucial role in this achievement through their unwavering support towards the Honda brand.”

Honda Malaysia’s remarkable achievement this year was largely contributed by the launch of the WR-V in July. The iconic small SUV received overwhelming response from the market. The RS variant is the largest contributor, accounting for 60% of the total sales to-date. The Company sold more than 7,800 units of the WR-V within the first six months of launch, confirming the popularity of the WR-V in Malaysia.

Besides that, sales for Honda Malaysia’s hybrid models (e:HEV) also increased from more than 4,100 units in 2022 to more than 7,700 units in 2023. This represents an impressive 87% growth for the e:HEV models which are well accepted in the market. In 2023, Honda’s e:HEV models contributed 28% to overall hybrid sales in Malaysia, which is a significant contribution to the growth of xEV’s in the country.

Honda Malaysia is committed to providing the best quality in terms of product offering, sales, and after-sales services to its customers. The Company is optimistic about the automotive sector in 2024, which is expected to be another exciting year for the industry.
